What Mobile Tyre Fitting Covers
Everything a high-street depot does — except you don't have to drive there with a flat. The van carries common 16, 17 and 18-inch car and van sizes on board, plus the kit to do fit-and-balance, TPMS swaps, locking-nut removal and inside-the-tyre puncture repair on the spot. Caravans, motorhomes, 4x4s, EVs and hybrids all welcome — the only things outside scope are motorbikes, HGVs and agricultural tyres (different machinery, specialist trade).
The whole job runs to a single quote on the phone before any wheels come off. No call-out fee. No membership. No finance. Payment is taken up front, before the work begins — bank transfer or cash, your choice.
For the planned stuff — a worn-out front pair, a seasonal swap to winter rubber, a set of four for the family runabout — book at your convenience. For the broken-down stuff — a punctured Sunday-night sidewall in the supermarket car park, a kerb-strike on the school run — call and Simon comes. Same number, same person, day or night.
How a Mobile Tyre Fit Actually Works
- Ring with the basics. Reg or tyre size from the sidewall (something like 205/55 R16 91V), make/model/year of the car, and roughly where you are. If you're stopped at the roadside, give the postcode or a landmark.
- Quote on the phone. Simon picks the right tyre tier (premium / mid-range / budget) for the car and your budget, prices it up and tells you the lot — tyre, fit, travel — before he sets off. Payment's taken up front, once you're happy with the quote — bank transfer or cash.
- ETA you can plan around. If he's twenty minutes away, you'll be told twenty minutes. If he's two jobs deep, you'll be told that too. None of the call-centre fairy tales.
- On site. The van jacks the car (or works with your jack if needed), pulls the wheel, mounts the new tyre on the machine, balances it on the cone, refits and torques to spec, resets the TPMS warning if needed.
- Old tyre sorted. The old tyre goes in the van for legal disposal — no leaving rubber by the kerb.
Most single-tyre jobs are 20–30 minutes once Simon's on site. A full set of four is closer to an hour. Caravans and motorhomes vary depending on access and jacking points — that's covered on the call.
What Mobile Tyre Fitting Doesn't Cover
Better to be told before you ring than after I've turned up. The van fits passenger-vehicle tyres only — anything outside that needs a different trade.

For motorbike, HGV/lorry or agricultural tyres you'll need a specialist — I'd rather tell you that on the call than turn up and shrug.
Also outside scope: alloy refurbishment (cosmetic — separate trade), wheel-tracking/four-wheel-alignment (needs a workshop laser rig — Simon can balance, but tracking is a garage job), and wheels with structural damage that have failed beyond what a fitter at the kerb can safely return to the road.

Mobile tyre fitting is exactly what it sounds like — instead of you driving to a tyre depot, the tyre depot drives to you. The van turns up at your house, your office, the supermarket car park or wherever you've stopped, jacks the car, takes the wheel off, fits the new tyre on the rim, balances it and puts it back on. Most single-tyre jobs take 20–30 minutes once Simon's on site.
How quickly can you get to me?
Most jobs across Wigan, Bolton and the surrounding boroughs are reached within the hour. Further out — Preston, Liverpool, Chester — Simon will tell you the real ETA on the call before he sets off. None of the 'round the corner' nonsense when I'm not.
Do you have a call-out charge?
No flat call-out charge. The job price covers the tyre, the fit and the travel — Simon quotes the lot on the phone before he sets off. No surprise extras when he arrives.
How much will mobile tyre fitting cost?
Tyre prices change week to week, vary by brand tier (premium / mid-range / budget) and depend on the size on your sidewall — so I don't publish from-prices that turn out to be misleading. Will you fit tyres I've bought online?
Yes — fit-only is fine. Common online sources (Black Circles, Camskill, OTR, Amazon-fulfilled brands) all work. Tell me what's arriving and when, and I'll book the slot.
What if I don't have a spare wheel?
Most new cars don't come with one — manufacturers ship a foam sealant or a space-saver instead. I bring the replacement tyre to you, so a missing spare is exactly why mobile fitting exists. Just have the tyre size from the sidewall ready when you ring.
Can you do TPMS sensors?
Yes. I carry common service-kit valves and re-grommets, plus universal programmable sensors. The TPMS warning light is reset on the diagnostic before I leave.
Can you remove a locking wheel nut without the key?
In most cases yes. Tell me the make, model and year when you ring and I'll arrive with the right extraction tooling. The wheel comes off, the tyre gets fitted, and you go away with a standard non-locking nut so it never happens again.
Do you do motorbike, HGV or tractor tyres?
No — cars, vans, 4x4s, caravans, motorhomes and EVs/hybrids only. For motorbike, HGV/lorry or agricultural tyres you'll need a specialist.
Are you open 24/7?
Yes — day, night, weekend, bank holiday. Same phone number, same person picks up. Out-of-hours work is welcome.
